Mobile phone footage taken from Tianjin highway on Thursday shows the extent of the damage caused by the explosions at a factory in the Chinese port city. Wrecked vehicles can be seen abandoned on the deserted road, strewn with debris from the blast. The skyscape is filled with smouldering smoke, while some buildings are still burning. The death toll currently stands at 50, with a further 701 admitted to hospital
The warehouse at the heart of the explosion, which was in the city's port and owned by Ruihai International Logistics, is believed to have been used to store dangerous chemicals.
