4 Nigerian Policemen Were Killed by Armed Robbers while Two Robbers Died

 
         Four mobile police were reportedly shot dead Okene, Kogi  State on Tuesday night during an attack on one of the banks in the town by suspected bandits numbering 20, who came in four vehicles.Unspecified number of policemen was also injured in the attack which kept residents of the town awake throughout the greater part of the night.

        The police command Confirm the the robbery attack on Wednesday and said two of the robbers were also killed during the attack. The statement confirm that the robbery was foiled by policemen from the two adjoining banks.

       "The entire area and all other banks in the town have been reinforced, while frantic efforts are on to track down the fleeing hoodlums. Many of them also escaped with gunshot wounds, '' the statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer, DSP Elvis Aguebor, said.

      The police command also advice the general public to report anyone with bullet wounds at the nearest police station and he assured the people that it had put in place measures to guarantee their safety during and after the festive season.
