Why Two Children Burnt to Death in Jos
An horrible incident happened at one apartment in Kabong area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State where two children lost their lives as a result of fire that burnt their house. The two children are aged four and two.
Talatu is the mother of the deceased children, is a local beer seller in the area, she allegedly left the two children alone in her room apartment to unknown destination. Before she returned home, the apartment has burnt.
An eyewitness in the village who did not want to be named, described the incident as sad. He said the mother of the deceased children locked them inside the room and went to confront her fiance, who had suddenly picked another lady to marry. He said "the woman lit a candle in the room before she went out but before she returned, the candle had burnt low and lit the mattress. The children got burnt without anyone knowing.”
